Star Wars!

Star Wars Ep 4-6 Review!

A Long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....

Now I think we can all agree that the last attempt at bringing back Star Wars was slightly less than what we as fans wanted to see...The prequel series was for the most part a big failure to the original trilogy which is what I am going to give me thoughts on, since we are getting another attempt at it with Star Wars Ep 7.
As most of you should know Star Wars was made by Lucas Films/George Lucas, something that maybe you didn't know is that the first Star Wars was made with the expectation that is was going to fail, that's why it named Star Wars at first then after the success of it was re-named A New Hope. Thus we got Ep 5 and 6 which set the ground for the one if not the most epic trilogies ever made. The original trilogy is in my honest opinion pure perfection, there was not a scene, line, or character in any of them that I didn't personally like. Yes even the Ewoks because they just worked.

A New Hope starts and centers around Darth Vader's son, Luke Skywalker, who is oblivious to anything off his own planet. That all changes with the arrival of 2 droids that are carrying a message for a hidden retired Jedi known as Obi Won Kenobi, or Ben Kenobi. With a certain set of events Luke gets dragged into a universe in the middle of civil war with his unknown father and his master at the head of it. Kenobi tries to teach Luke what he knows but again circumstances prevent this and his training is put on hold until Ep 5.
The Empire Strikes Back, is the follow up to A New Hope, where Luke finally starts is training with a the last hidden Jedi known as Yoda. Yoda is 900 year old Jedi master that went into exile when the Empire took power. Luke however cuts his training short when his friends get trapped by Darth Vader, who at the time is still obvious to Vader being his father. After the fight and Luke losing his hand Vader tells Luke the truth, unable to handle that he tries to kill himself(I am guessing) but luck keeps him alive.
The Return of the Jedi is the last installment to the trilogy that starts with Luke completing his training under Yoda and saving his friends from a gangster on his home planet, and ends in a life or death battle with Darth Vader and the Emperor.
Obviously I left several points out during all of this and that's because this universe of characters is so vast that it would be a very long post other whys. Needless to say I love these movies and the universe that it takes part in. If you have not seen them or knows someone that hasn't...share the experience with them and avoid Ep 1-3...and pretend like they just never happened.
