Alfonso, Gravity Director Wins at DGA Awards!

This past week at the DGA Awards, director Alfonso Cuaron won the award for Best Director on his film Gravity. I personally have nothing against this, Gravity was a stunning movie and although it lacked a lot of dialogue it was still a fantastic thriller that kept you on the edge the whole time. And of course the CGI is breathtaking and so realistic. But with this DGA win, a lot of people are wondering if it will help his chances at Best Picture at the Oscar's...personally I think not, as much as I enjoyed the film 12 Years a Slave is, I think, a much better film. Does Alfonso have a chance at Best Director? Of course he does, but no matter who wins what this year, I won't be surprised at all. Everyone in every category has a great chance because the films this last year were just that beautiful.
