Star Wars, X-Men, Luke Evans, Amy Adams

Star Wars Story Team
With 2015 closing in on us day by day and with Disney in possession on the Star Wars rights it was only a matter of time before the vastness of the franchise became over whelming. So over whelming in fact that Disney has has come up with a think tank type group they are calling the story team, so sift through the vast amount of story and characters that exist in the Star Wars universe/franchise to determine what is important/proper canon and what is not. Now we as fans, having as much faith and trust in JJ as we do, can only hope he has a part to play in this and that we will get an amazing return from this property. Because Star Wars made its debut in the late 70's and 80's there was a slowing of the franchises success and love for a bit, then the internet and social media came around and the the talks/ideas for expanding the franchise bloomed with the collective love and imagination of the fans. Then we finally got an answer in the failed prequels to the original trilogy...now that Disney has the rights to this franchise though and we can see the success they have had with Marvel and its characters I think it is safe to assume they will pick the perfect story lines to follow and expand on.

The Jungle Book
As some of you know Warner Bros. along with Disney had/has plans to bring a live action Jungle Book to theaters again, the last one being 1994. Well it has been hear through the grape vine that Warner Bros is on the look out for a new director.. Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu has walked away leaving them in a small spot because Warner Bros thought they had an ace up their sleeve with him. But this it Hollywood, there is a director around every corner, shouldn't be to hard to find a replacement...whether that replacement will be of the same caliber or talent is another matter all together.

X-Men DoFP Quicksilver Still
With release of X-Men getting ever so closer and excitement for the film rising it was only a matter of time before we got a good shot of Quicksilver(the person in the far back of shot wearing Silver). Obviously I don't know much about this character in terms of comic history but I do have Youtube,
There is some history for you and I hope most of you are as excited for the new X-Men movie as I am!

The Crow
Luke Evans in a recent interview about the upcoming Crow movie had this to say..."We just want to be as authentic and loyal to the original comic as possible, and that means the story will be different. It'll be different from what people are expecting. It's not about us ripping off the Brandon Lee movie, that stands alone as a brilliant piece of cult film and a great performance, but we're going back to the book, the original book. And that's exciting because we're bringing to the screen a lot of parts of the story that were never really told. So yeah, it's our chance to do it, to do it differently, but to be as loyal and respectful of the original storyline as we possibly can." It has been a long while since I watched the other movies about this character and I think it may be time to dust it off and refresh my memory.

The Mandarin
With the upcoming One-Shot on the Thor Blu-Ray release coming and some stills brought to us by Entertainment Weekly, the rumors and thoughts of Iron Man continuing into a fourth film was inevitable. EW spoke with Marvel about the short that will be attatched to the Thor: The Dark World Blu-ray disc. The 14-minute short will follow Kingsley’s character as he’s locked away in a maximum-security prison. It is being viewed as an epilogue to Shane Black’s Iron Man 3, but also a possible set up for Iron Man 4. Drew Pearce, who wrote the IM3 screenplay had this to say on the matter:  "Imagine a real terrorist organization whose beliefs were long held and religious for thousands of years, and imagine a drunk, British actor coming along and essentially telling the world that he’s the face of your organization. I think they would be right to be quite angry." I have to say..he has a point, if a drunk fool claimed to be the face of my ruthless hidden organization I would be pissed to. After reading into a lot of the complaints die hard Marvel fans had with Iron Man 3 and then researching the real Mandarin, I have to say I am glad Marvel decided to do this, opening up options for future Iron Man movies ,and I don't want to say correcting Iron Man 3 because maybe that was their plan from the start, but re-introducing the Mandarin into their universe is a smart play.

Point Break Remake
There has been a lot of buzz lately about the incoming Point Break remake, especially withe casting of Gerard Butler which has started to make this feel more and more real. As someone who hasn't watched the original in nearly 15 years give or take its hard for me to say whether this remake is good or bad but as a general rule I don't mind remakes because even if it sucks...I still have the original film to enjoy. Right? What are your thoughts on remakes, like them or not?

Emma Stone Spiderman 2
The beautiful Emma Stone has finally gotten a still all her on for the upcoming Spiderman 2 film. We have seen her in the trailer but as someone who is a huge fan of her that just wasn't enough. Emma Stones character Qwen Stacey can be seen above in what I can only guess is Oscorp Tower. Since in the first film she did kind of have a job there...
Above is a behinds the scene look into the creation of Oscorp Tower, enjoy!

Influx
The next book adaption Influx who's rights have been scooped up by Fox...Influx is a Sci-fi Thriller written by Daniel Suarez, I can't tell you much about it because...well I haven't read it. But thanks to CinemaBlend and Google I have some insight to the happenings,
"The film would follow particle physicist Jon Grady, a brilliant inventor who creates a machine that can 'reflect gravity.' Having essentially revolutionized his field, he expects massive praise, maybe even the Nobel Prize. But instead his lab is locked down and his findings taken captive by the Bureau of Technology Control. This exclusive group has been hoarding mankind's greatest advancements for their own use, rather than allowing the masses access to them. Grady is offered a place in this insidious group, but his rejection of their elitism lands him in a prison full of similarly defiant geniuses. Can they band together to set mankind back on track?" I hope that helps some and I also found that Influx is the fourth installment for the book series... I may need to add this to my must read list...

Amy Adams Man of Steel 2
Amy Adams is one of my personal favorite actress, this last year has been huge for her with her roles in Her, American Hustle, and Man of Steel. Although we all assumed she would be returning to reprise her role as Lois Lane in Man of Steel 2 we hadn't much on her or the character until recently. Where in an interview she claimed to have finally seen a script and read it and went on to say she is slated to return. Amy is a Oscar-nominated actress that has more than earned the praise, and with all these other major names actors and characters being added to the list for the sequel...I think its only right to worry that at some point she may be written out to make room. Although we have several confirmations that this is in fact a Superman sequel with reports/rumors of Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Lex Luther and other well known characters being added to the mix...are we sure about this? Lets hope so for Amy's sake, as well as Lawrence Fishburne and Diane Lane sake's so they get some great screen time and make the best movie possible.
