Matthew McConaughey grabs another Film!
Following the amazing year of 2013 for Matthew McConaughney in his films Dallas Buyers Club and Mud, with Dallas Buyers Club in the running for an Oscar and he himself as well. It's no surprise that he has become one of the most sought after actors in Hollywood right now. That being said, Matthew has been grabbed up along side Ken Watanabe, most known for his role in The Last Samurai, in a film titled Sea Of Trees with Gus Van Sant set to direct and Chris Sparling writing. Sea of Trees tells the story of an American man taking a journey into the infamous “Suicide Forest” at the foothills of Mount Fuji with the intention of taking his own life. When he is interrupted by a Japanese man who has had second thoughts about his own suicide and is trying to find his way out of the forest, the two begin a journey of reflection and survival. Ignoring the success of Matthew for the moment and focusing on the film idea itself, I actually really like the sounds of, I looked up the area that Suicide Forest is in and its a beautiful location full of history. You add in 2 actors of Matthew's and Ken's caliber to something like this and I am all in.
