Disney's FROZEN
Thanksgiving SPOILER FILLED REVIEW!
Hey everyone and welcome to my spoiler filled review of Disney's Frozen! Yes its a kids movie but that doesn't mean I or anyone for that matter can not enjoy it!
First impressions...I loved it, I had a smile across my face the whole movie, the music, the CG, the story, just everything about this was fantastic. Olaf the snowman was out right hilarious, the interactions between Anna and Kristoff was playful, cute and funny. The twist surrounding the prince I can honestly say didn't see coming.
So right off the bat we get introduced to Anna and Elsa, the 2 main characters, and Elsa's power over winter(which we also find out will get stronger as she grows). The harmless fun they were having was fun to watch. Then when Anna gets struck by Elsa on accident we got our first look at what the flip-side is to her powers and also the trolls! Which were kinda awesome and a nice a surprise, snd here we learn that if she loses control of her powers and strikes the heart her victim will be turned into ice. We also meet Sven and Kristoff here which was a nice introduction into his role later on.
The music/score for this movie was amazing, it made me smile, made me sad, and gave me goosebumps. Watching the journey Anna and Kristoff take to bring back summer from her sisters out of control powers was great CG at work, everything looked beautiful. After Elsa strikes her sister again with magic, this time at her heart. I mentioned the twist surrounding the prince...well for me I totally did not see him pulling a 180 to the villain. Trying to marry Anna just to kill Elsa and take the throne for himself. When Anna gets back to the castle hoping the prince is her true love and can break the curse from her sister and we find out his true motives I actually thought to myself..."Wait...WHAT?! Really Disney?? Talk about random and off to the side." When he shows his true colors and leaves Anna to die...yeah "cold" I know. Luckily Olaf and all his hilarity shows up to save her and turns the light bulb on that Kristoff loves her and that he can save her. Well needless to say that didn't happen! That's right, she was told that "...an act of true love will break the curse." So when she escapes the castle to find Kristoff she just happens to come across the prince about to hack down her sister so she rushes to her side saves her and poof...act of true love...why do we even have Kristoff and the Prince in this movie?...
All in all I enjoyed the movie, give it a 7.5/10 as an adult. But for a family outting movie/kids movie 9/10, its a good time for the family and the kids will really enjoy it.Thanks for reading and if you agree or disagree with my review let me know would love to hear your thoughts. Catch ya later!
