Sandman
Warner Bros. has announced and Jason Gordon Levitt has confirmed on twitter that they are currently working on bringing a Sandman movie to us the fans, the script is being written by David S. Goyer, you may know him from the Dark Knight and Man of Steel films, and its being speculated that Jason may star and direct the movie, but as of right now he has only confirmed to be on board as a producer.
Winters Tale
Here is a film I have not heard about until today which is saddening...simply because the cast alone has got my interested, above are 3 new banners for the film Winters Tale be brought to us by Warner Bros. featuring Colin Farell, Jessica Brown Findlay, and Russell Crowe. The story is as follows; "A burglar falls for an heiress as she dies in his arms. When he learns that he has the gift of reincarnation, he sets out to save her." if nothing else the cast is great and it sounds interesting.
Disney Rules the World!
Disney announced earlier that they had surpassed their own domestic box office record this year taking in $1.155 billion and that is still with Frozen in theaters and Saving Mr.Banks just around the corner. Which is no huge surprise considering they now own Marvel, Star Wars atop there own already successful name recognition and franchises.
Divergent
Divergent director Neil Burger has announced that he will not be returning for the planned sequels for the book adaptation of Divergent. With Divergent hitting theaters March 21 2014 and the sequel Insurgent slated for March 20 2015 release, Lionsgate is on the hunt for a replacement director...this has me worried, they have put themselves in a tight spot that may force them to move the release date of their sequel plans.
John Krasinski
Former star of the Office John Krasinski has just sold a script to Warner Bros. that has so far announced a attachment of Matt Damon and Ben Affleck for Producer roles, they is no word yet on a plot or if John will star, but with what little is available on the movie so far I hope he does and that its a great film.
Avatar Sequels
With the talk of the Avatar sequels taking place under water it seems only fitting that Cameron come out to clarify is plans and ease the worries of some people that were expecting mermaid Navi; "There's a fair bit of under water stuff. It's been inaccurately said that the second film takes place underwater. That's not true. There are underwater scenes and surface water scenes having to do with indigenous ocean cultures that are distributed across the three films". Now i hope that is good news to everyone else as it was to me!
