Johnny Depp to play Crime Boss in Black Mass!?

   The world class actor Johnny Depp has finally come to an agreement on salary for the Scott Cooper directed film Black Mass, written by Mark Mallouk. Depp will be portraying notorious crime boss/Boston kingpin Whitey Bulger(to the right). The film will follow Bulger has he falls from crime kingpin to FBI fugitive and his childhood friend John Connolly, and FBI agent, who warned Bulger that he was about to be indicted and put Bulger at the top of the FBI most wanted list. Connolly was arrested and sent to prison for his actions. There is still a lot of questions surrounding Bulger and how he managed all the things he did, many speculate he was an FBI informant others think he was just well connected. Either way, both Bulger and Connolly will be in prison for a long time. 
   Tom Hardy is in early talks to play FBI agent John Connolly but nothing set in stone yet. As for my overall thoughts on the project as of right now...I like the sounds of it, Johnny Depp is an amazing actor, the story sounds like it could be something truly interesting, but then again I love me a good mobster movie any day. Tom Hardy has had some good movies, but I am not totally sold o his talents just yet, so maybe this role will be just what he needs.
