Instead of much wanted Transporter 4 film we are getting a Mechanic sequel. The first one was a clear cut Statham action movie with a solid written script and directed by Simon West. If there is one thing Statham is, its consistent, and that's not a bad thing, if your great action films in a era where action stars are few and far between, do it! And Jason brings it every time. Even thought I know what I am getting with a Jason movie I still love watching him kick some serious ass. So the Mechanic was by no means a huge blockbuster but it wasn't a bomb either so a sequel is not out of the question and as of right now Dennis Gansel is set to direct. If you never saw the first one its pretty simple really, Statham plays a high level assassin who is known for getting the job done clean, until he takes on an apprentice so to speak and things get hairy. So you guys wanted a Mechanic 2? I personally am just fine with the first one but if a second one makes it way out I will probably watch it.
