Wonder Woman in Man of Steel 2!!

   It is official folks! We have just been hit with a bomb today announcing that Wonder Woman will be making an appearance in "Man of Steel 2". We all know that awhile back 3 woman went in to audition for a un-confirmed female role, the actresses being; Olga Kurylenko, Gal Gadot, and Elodie Yung. There can only be one for this role though and Gal Gadot has been the lucky one!

    Gal Gadot is best known for her roles in the Fast and Furious franchise, a lot people are not very happy about this choice but I am hoping and expecting her to do a great job. Lets hope she proves me right! What do you guys make of this casting choice? Happy about it, not so happy about it? Let me know!

Fast 7 troubles....

   With the untimely passing of Paul Walker Fast 7 finds itself in between a rock and a hard place...there has been talks of Universal considering starting from scratch. I think this is a good option for them. Again have to wait and see. What so you guys think they should do?

Man of Steel 2

   In a recent interview with Ben Affleck he was what its like to work with Zach Snyder and he replied with..."What I'll say is that I really like Zach. From what I've seen of what's Zach is doing, it's made me very excited. One of the nice things about being an actor in that movie is they show you all the stuff before anyone else gets to see it. So all the sort of world-creation, and the take on the character and the other characters is really exciting. And at the end of the day, the truth is it's really directors that make movies work or not-especially these kinds of movies."  What I take from this is that Ben is putting a lot of trust in Zach and he really should. This movie is going to make or break his career after all. What do you take from this? Share your thoughts and let me know!

Fox and X-Force?

   Fox has been considering a possible X-Force movie...now I don't know anything about the comics but I can say as a X-men movie fan I am open to some more mutant action. What do you guys know of X-Force and what are your thoughts on this?

"Out of the Furnace" hits theaters this week, it stars Christian Bale and Casey Affleck. For more information on this upcoming movie check out the video below. I think this movie looks fantastic and I can't wait to see it.

Funny Coincidence....?

Unobtainium..."The Core" and "Avatar"

   This movie came out several years before Avatar and uses a man made metal called unobtainium to build a vehicle to travel to the Core (as the title says) because the US made a weapon that causes artificial earthquakes which in turn disturbs our cores delicate rotation. Needless to say the metal is so strong and weird that it actually gets stronger the more external force is applied to it by lets say traveling to the core...

  The above picture shows unobtainium in the Avatar movie, this metal is found on a world called Pandora inhabited by a race knows as the Navi. This metal is created naturally and can be dug up...

   The whole point I brought this up is because I thought it was interesting to see the metal of the same name coming from two very different sources appearing in very different movies...is there a reason behind this? A coincidence? Am I just over thinking something that has no importance...more than likely but that's ok, I can live with that. What do you guys think, let me!

Marvel Universe Movie Review!

Iron Man

   Kicking off the list of the Marvel cinematic universe is Iron Man, you know the one that started it all. This move was just bad ass all around, the cast, the story, the characters, and the CG were just amazing. Right off the bat we get a good look at Tony Stark and where he starts and what causes his change into Iron Man. I mean the fact that this movie kick started a the franchise is proof enough that its one of the best. 10/10 rating from me hands down.

The Incredible Hulk

   I am forgetting the failed attempts at him prior to this release because this one just does it right and it tied into the Avengers. Now this one I was scared it was going to be another epic failure attempt at bringing the Hulk back to the big screen. Boy was I wrong, this movie was amazing, I loved the villain, I loved the cast, the story, and action scenes are just bad ass, if you have not seen this movie you are missing out. It does seem slow at times but I can over look that in the grand picture of things. The Incredible Hulk...8/10.

Captain America : The First Avenger

  

   Here we have Captain America : The First Avenger, and as the title says he is the very first superhero in this Marvel universe. He is a super solder that was created during WW2 as a counter to Germany's attempt at making them. Needless to say they failed. This movie had a awesome tone and in my honest opinion the best of them leading into the Avengers. It really fit the timeline the cast was incredible and as a nice look into SHIELD's history and Tony Stark's father's part/place. It just tied everything together very nicely into a bow for me. I loved it, easier gets a 10/10 from me.

Thor

   Thor is a Norse mythology god that just happens not to be mythology but existence on another planet with technology so far advanced that they appear god like to us. I really enjoyed this movie, it was really slow at times and the action was in spurts BUT it really worked for this one. It was a story of a god learning what it means to truly care for others and his role as the next king of Asgard. We also get our first look at Hawk in this one, not much of a look but we do still see him nonetheless. SPOILER! -- The Scene at the end where he chooses to destroy the rainbow bridge so save a world he wanted to burn at the start...I may or may not have cried a little...and been like " Fuck yeah! You do it Thor!" to myself...all in all 9/10 on this one from me.

Iron Man 2

   As much as I loved the first Iron Man...the only reason we got #2 was to introduce one the hottest women alive as Black Widow...and boy is it worth it. It may just be me but she owns this movie, every scene she's in its all her. But all in all it did fall short for me compared to the first one, the villain seemed weak, the story just wasn't as fluid as the first. Still and awesome movie but it does't get a 10....more like a 8/10

The Avengers

   

  Finally....The Avengers! This movie made cinematic history with it's box office explosions and epic conclusion to Phase one for the Marvel Universe. This rates at my second all tine favorite comic book movie of all time under Man of Steel. Getting to see all our beloved Marvel heroes together on the screen in epic battles, witty banter, and going from not trusting each other to working together to save the planet from an invasion....HELL YEAH! This gets a easy 10/10 from me. There is nothing I did not enjoy about this movie and I am excited to see Phase 2 in the Marvel cinematic universe.

Pain and Gain Review!

   So I just finished watching this...and ho my god was it just flat out stupid...I can't believe I actually finished it, the ONLY good part or actor was The Rock. Other than that whether it was based off a true story or not it was terrible...I can not in good conscience recommend anyone subject themselves to this movie. 0/10! There goes 129 min of my life I can never get back...

Rise of the Planet of the Apes Review!

   Hey there folks, I just re-watched this movie and figured I would do a short review on my opinion of it, here we go!

   So this is a reboot of the classic Planet of the Apes movies and yes I am intentionally forgetting the 2001 attempt at this because well...it sucked! Here it starts with how they came to be and basically Caesar's raising's and where he came from. I personally really enjoyed this movie, it explained everything well, the characters were easy to get into and after re-watching I may have to go and buy this on Blu-Ray. Now I re-watched it because someone on twitter reminded me that there is a sequel to this movie coming in 2014, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. I am not overly excited for it but I am interested in where this may go so for this reboot of the classics I give it a 8/10.

Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness Review!!

   Alright, welcome to my short review of the rebooted Star Trek franchise, let me start off by saying that I am not a Trekkie or fan boy so my opinion is that of a movie goer in general.

   When I say the trailer for the first one I was kinda excited, it looked really cool and well done so when I saw it in theaters...I was not disappointed in the least. The CGI looked great, the story and characters were fun, it was just all around a good time. Seeing Kirk go from a pain in the ass trouble maker to a pain in the ass Cpt. with the Star Fleet and hating Spock to being friends by the end was...enjoyable. I did feel the villain was weak as hell though in the first one, or at least very under utilized. Other than that I liked the movie and give it a 8/10

   The Second one Into Darkness...just all round bad ass! The CGI again, was just fantastic, seeing the growth of each character from the first one to the second great because it moved forward instead of back, I always like to see that in sequels. The villain this time, Khan, was just freaking epic. Every time he was on screen I got the chills. Getting to see...

was just icing on the top in my opinion...just look at that. 

   I give Into Darkness a 8.5/10. Both movies are a great time the stories are great, the cast is amazing, the CGI is beautiful and the depth/history of the franchise probably really helps.
