Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage attached to new Adam Sandler Film!!

Peter Dinklage....the single greatest part of Game of Thrones for me, every scene he's in is fantastic...and now we are hearing that his talents are being used in a Adam Sandler film titled Pixles. Pixles is a comedy about old arcade game characters being manifested in the real world in a unconventional way. In typical Sandler fashion I suppose...The movie it self holds no interest for me, but with Peter attached, I will have to give this a chance now.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them to be a Trilogy!!

So the extended prequel universe of Harry Potter is getting a trilogy...yup, the upcoming film franchise that is to take place 70 years before Harry Potter is getting milked for all it has according to a release from, CEO Kevin Tsujihara of Warner Bros. In his own words...
"Three megamovies are planned."
I am a huge fan of the Harry Potter films, I grew up on them after all, so I was somewhat happy to hear we were getting so more of that world, but I am almost Harry Pottered out at this point. I don't know if I could take a new trilogy, but then again, maybe I am wrong...we will have to wait and see, I just hope we get to see a younger Dumbledore and Hogwarts.
Enjoy the Harry Potter Tribute ;)

Magic Mike Sequel gets a title and Director!!

First, lets cover this, a while back Channing Tatum was rumored to take over as director for this sequel, but those rumors have been quelled some time ago if I remember correctly, so the attached director as of right now is Steven Soderbergh. Who also directed the first one. The working title for the sequel is Magic Mike Double XL or Magic Mike XXL...stop laughing ladies.
I actually saw the first one, and looking past the half naked dudes, the story to the film was actually pretty good. I enjoyed the movie to a certain degree. Although, no matter how good the story was, I was not the targeted demographic for the move and I am fairly certain I am no for the second one either.

Frozone and Sam Jackson to return to Incredibles 2!!!

Recently Mr. Sam Jackson was asked about his possible involvement in the finally coming Incredibles sequel, Jackson voiced Frozone in the first one which was surprisingly the main source of comic relief for me, but also a grounding tool for Mr.Incredible to relive and remember his glory days as a superhero. Anyways, Jackson had this to say...
Obviously based on his comments he himself is not directly attached to the film yet, but from the sounds of it, Frozone is. I personally don't think you can have Frozone without Jackson but I'm not the casting director....

New Jupiter Ascending Trailer!!!

Sweet...I was already on board for this movie with the first trailer, and the second is nothnig overly special compared to the first but still great to see some new clips and get a little better understanding of where this movie is going and coming from.
I still have a hard time seeing Channing like that...but by the time the movie comes out, I think it will have gown on me...I hope anyways. Other than that, I think it looks amazing, the story seems interesting and the scale looks massive and I hope the film feels epic while watching it.

New Green Goblin Picture!!

Holy cow....just look at that picture. He looks menacing and so much better than the Sam Raime incarnation. Of course Dehaan just looks like he belongs in this role.....that's pretty much all there is to say about that I guess...we get new information on this movie ever week it seems and I don't know hoe many times I can just say I am excited for the movie...so yeah...Green Goblin. LOL
   Oh, and trailer...enjoy!

New Hercules(The Rock) Trailer !!!

After months of waiting and waiting we finally got our first look at The Rock's Hercules movie, and even though its only a teaser it looks so much better than The Legend of Hercules...The Rock looks like a beast, from what we can gather watching the trailer is that its going to cover the trials that are talked about in both Hercules myth and in the comics. Which should make for an action packed movie. Don't just take my word for it though, watch below and let me know!!

The Rock hints about his DC Role to come!!

The most over worked and sought after actor in Hollywood has been teasing us for months about his possible DC character role to come, and we were teased again, this time though we were given much more to work with...
“The first quality we were looking for was that he had to be extremely complex and have a lot going on. What that does for me as an actor and the studio is it gives us space that we can explore his complexities. The other quality was that he had to -- the character we were looking for had to be well-known but never brought to life. What that does again as an actor, it gives me a little bit of space, and we talked about personality. It just gives me a chance to put an imprint into his personality, with the set of tools that I could bring to the table and put a very unique twist on his personality, but still pay homage to who he is.”
Oh Rock...how we both loath and love you...why must you tease us. Oh well, I personally am hoping for a Martian Manhunter, I think the introduction of that character would be truly awesome along side Superman and Batman. He is a character that we have not seen outside of the TV show as far as I am aware, correct me if I am wrong, so its opens so many possibilities.

Corey Stoll in talks for Antman Role!!

The most recent movie of Stoll's is Non-Stop along side action star Liam Neeson. And he did a great job in that I thought. Now we heard that he is in talks for a undisclosed AntMan role...some have speculated that its for a villain role, others are, like myself, in the dark on AntMan lore/back story so have no idea what his role could even be...I have no problem with him being in talks for Ant Man though, I'm excited to see a movie about this as is just because it sounds interesting and like I keep saying, Marvel has not given me a reason not to trust their direction.

On Set Avengers 2 Photos!!

There is nothing overly special special about these photos, but I am excited about this film and what Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch actually look like so I am sure some of you are as well. The wait is over, enjoy!!
I love Scarlet's costume, its fits nicely into the world they have created so far, Quicksilver I am not feeling just yet, but I am hoping they give a reason for why he wears spandex...like maybe its specially made to withstand the friction his body causes moving at high speeds I don't know anything. Here is a special video I found on courtesy of JoBlo =)

M Night is making another movie!?

If you have followed me at all on here, then you understand my feelings on M Night's past few movies...I hate them, so when I heard he was actually making another movie I was less than excited. I really do hope that he has another Unbreakable, or Signs left in him, those were great movies, but The Last Airbender....After Earth....Really dude?? Anyways, his next project is a low budget Indie type film titled Sundowning (Sundowning is a psychological phenomenon associated with increased confusion and restlessness in patients with some form of dementia. Most commonly associated with Alzheimer's disease, but also found in those with mixed dementia, the term "sundowning" was coined due to the timing of the patient's confusion. For patients with sundowning syndrome, a multitude of behavioral problems begin to occur in the evening or while the sun is setting) and its described like this...
"a single mother whose two young children visit their grandparents… and things go very wrong."
No, there is no more....yup, that's all we were given at this point...I am so not on board for this at this moment, and until its released and I hear good things about it, I am avoiding it.

Divergent owns opening weekend!!

Divergent....so far it is my favorite movie of the year surprisingly. I really enjoyed this movie, much more than I expected, but if you want to read my full review of it, click here: http://fedoramoviegoer.blogspot.com/2014/03/divergent-movie-review.html
Divergent had an amazing opening weekend of $56 Million, and I think that has pretty much solidified the chance of the sequel, at least I hope it did. Now that I enjoyed the movie so much I should probably dust off the book and actually read it...LOL

Fast 7 to CGI Paul Walker into the movie!?

When i first heard this news I was honestly a little confused. The last thing we had heard about Paul's character is that it was being retired, but there was no how given. This last week they announced that Paul will be CGI'ed into the rest of the film using body doubles to do movements basically. I suppose if they only use this for a small portion of the film to give his character a nice closure and send off, I can deal with it. But if they plan to do this for the rest of 50% of Paul's shots they did not get...I will be so beside myself, and the movie. I wouldn't be able to get into it.

X-Men DOFP Trailer #2!!!

This last week we got a second trailer for the the upcoming X-Men Days of Future Past movie, and let me say this before I show you...it is mind blowingly awesome!
If you watched it, and you did not get completely sucked into the tone, then this movie just is not for you. The sentinels look amazing, we actually got about 80% of new footage from the first trailer which never happens and I am totally digging it. I was excited for this movie before, but now I am stoked and can not wait, I will be there opening night no matter what. Even the Quicksilver costume has started to grow on me, because some one mentioned that...this is the 70's, everything clothing related then was ridiculous. So over all I loved this trailer, it got me engaged more than I was before and has me unable to wait for its release.

The Great Gatsby (2013) Movie Review!!!

So I realized that I have not done a review of this, I understand that it is due to the fact that I did not have this blog when I saw it. Also from what i recalled of it, I did not really care all that much for it. But my girlfriend was watching it with her parents and texting me at the same time...and it got me trying to recall the film clearly. I couldn't, so I decided to re-watch it. Now that it's fresh in my mind, lets do this!!
                                             WARNING, POSSIBLE SPOILERS!

So first lets talk about what the film is about, the movie is a remake of an older movie with the same which is a originally a book. Which follows one of the most interesting characters ever put to paper and on screen, as well as his Romeo and Juliet love affair with a woman he met in the past. This woman's cousin(Tobey Maguire) gets pulled into the mix to help Gatsby, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, to help reunite the two. From there the drama piles high and the Shakespeare tragedy starts to rear its head.

The first 30-40 min of the movie honestly...Kind of sucked. It had a weird feeling to it that just left me out of the film, was hard to get into. Towards the middle though, the characters started to get interesting, easy to relate to, and became more engaging to me. The story really did have a Romeo and Juliet type of feel to it, with and at times it worked well for me, and other not as much. I did actually really like the ending, even thought it was tragic, it combined with the increasingly better middle certainly helped make me enjoy the movie a little more. I still have to say with honestly, that this movie just was not for me. Even though it got better, I still can only stay in a middle ground on how it left me. I have to give it a 5/10....it was not a bad movie(long), but it was not a great movie either. I did really like DiCaprio, he was the best part of the whole film. So now that you have heard my opinion, I want to hear what you thought of this. Maybe you saw something I did not, maybe you agree with me, let me know below!!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Teaser Trailer!!!

So, we finally got our first teaser trailer for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, but I am not a fan as of yet. I do really like the new look of the turtles, they look bad ass, powerful, and something that would scare you in a more correct direction if your a criminal haha. As for the contents of the teaser...they just is not enough there to draw any conclusions on the story or possible direction, but I remain optimistic.
Alright, my thoughts...honestly the trailer has kind of a Marvel trailer feel to it. It could just be me, but whatever. Right off the bat you already get this sense that is a Micheal Bay film, it opens with something getting destroyed and a feeling of doom/dread. When we get our first look at the turtles it almost seems that for this film they not only changed their appearance but increased their physical strength. When one of them get's flung into the the side of truck he seemed to be enjoying it...and when Leonardo lands in front of April on the roof, you can hear the sound of brick breaking as he lands. This is obviously speculation but I think a power boost might actually make this reboot more interesting. Other than those few things, over all the teaser is great for what it is, but I still want to see more before drawing any serious conclusions.

Muppets Most Wanted Movie Review!!!

So I never saw the the movie that came before this...what can I say Muppets are not really my thing, but I tagged along for the ride anyways, and I must, not overly disappointed with the movie. For what it was, it was actually rather enjoyable, it had its charming moments, funny moments, and even the music was pretty good. Was catchy. I am not the demographic for this movie, but if your a kid at heart and can just live for the simple enjoyment of reliving childhood memories you should have a good time. If your have kids, I definitely recommend taking them to this. It will give you 2 hours of relaxation while they watch and maybe you will get swept up in it as well. I wont give away any spoilers but here is a basic run down on the plot, Kermit has a look a like that is a master criminal, he breaks from prison and takes over Kermit's life while Kermit goes to jail. And from there the random entertaining and whimsical moments begin. The film also has some great cameos that are fun to try and pick out. So for what it was I give the film a 7/10 and overall is a enjoyable time if your a kid at heart or have kids yourself.

New Maleficent Trailer with wings and a Dragon!!

This past few days we got another glimpse into the Disney movie Maleficent, and I have to say...I loved this trailer way more than any of the others that have come out before it. But before getting to into, check it out for your self....
See what I mean...Pretty bad ass right? Angelina looks amazing, the CG is starting to look very smooth as the we get closer and closer to its release. The dragon looks awesome, powerful and pretty scary actually. We also get a little more of the plot described to us if you pay close attention and that is certainly a nice surprise. So all in all, this trailer has made me pretty excited for this film all over again.

Andy Serkis to Direct Warner Bros. Jungle Book!!!

The great Andy Serkis is set to make his Directoral debut with Warner Bros. Jungle Book movie, which is a smart move on his part, its a smaller film that will get him a nice footing. But Mr. John Campea says it soo much better than I can, so...

Fox's 2017 Line-up!!

The next Wolverine film has bee given a release date of March 3rd 2017. Nothing yet on the story but James Mangold has been approached to helm the film.
And the biggest piece of news is that Fantastic Four 2 has been slated for a July 14th 2017 release date. Rather presumptuous aren't they.

Christian Bale as Steve Jobs in New Bio-Pic?

With David Fincher set to direct the new Steve Jobs Bio-Pic and Christian Bale being the one the best on screen performers right now...I suppose it only makes sense that Bale has been approached for the role. I personally have no interest in this project so my opinion on the matter is pretty much non-existent....but as a passing thought, I see no problem with Bale taking on this role, hes a great actor and heck, they even look some what similar in the picture above.

Jem and the Holograms Live Action Movie!!!

This is one is for all the ladies out there that follow me! There is a Jem and the Holograms live action movie in the works with Director John M Chu set to direct. There is no release date for the project yet but, Ryan Landels penned the script for the “Jem and the Holograms” film, which will supposedly begin production this spring. There is a short synopsis available...
"Project will reimagine Jem for a hyperlinked social media age, the producers say, and revolve around an orphaned teenage girl who becomes an online recording sensation, she and her sisters embark on a music-driven scavenger hunt –- one that sends them on an adventure across Los Angeles in an attempt to unlock a final message left by her father."
I am obviously not the demographic for this so I will keep my opinion to myself.

New International 2014 Godzilla Trailer!!

Here it is folks, the latest International trailer for the new May 16th 2014 Godzilla movie! There is not a whole lot of new footage but there are a few quick ones, so overall the trailer is very similar to the ones we have gotten already, but its still a decent trailer that is keeping interested in the movie. Even thought I was never much a Godzilla fan growing up.
Enjoy!

Ghostbuster's is trying to make a come back!!!

Sony has wanted to get their own franchises going, and the latest one on that list is Ghostbuster's. But with the sad passing of Ramis and the older surviving actors not yet signed for the film, and even the director of the first two, Ivan Reitman, recently leaving the project. But that doesn't mean that Sony isn't hoping to get production rolling some time in 2015. I personally would rather have a reboot, with an all new cast and modern take on the story. But at the moment there is no solid word on where this project is going to go.

New Marvel Concept art for Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Hulkbuster!!!

We got surprised with some pretty awesome Marvel concept art recently, and normally I wouldn't bother talking about it but I just had to share this you all. So here you are! Enjoy!!
Here is art work for the new Scarlet Witch. Keep in mind that this is just concept art is always subject to change/modifications. I personally think this is great looking, something practical and acceptable to the current Marvel universe.
The Quicksilver one I am not as excited about, its rather plain, but still better than that god awful X-Men Quicksilver.
This one, is by far the best one! Seeing a giant Hulkbuster armor fighting The Hulk with destroyed buildings in the background. Its too awesome, Its a scene I would love to see in a movie soon!

Divergent Movie Review!!!!

So I saw Divergent last night, and just a heads up. This review is being done without reading the book. I do have the book but I never started it before seeing the movie(now I really should). And for those that do not know the plot, here you go...
"In a world divided by factions based on virtues, Tris learns she's Divergent and won't fit in. When she discovers a plot to destroy Divergents, Tris and the mysterious Four must find out what makes Divergents dangerous before it's too late."

Now with that taken care of, lets review this shit!!

First off, I loved this movie. It was way better than I was expecting it be. It does start kind of slow, the first 20 min or so are setting you up to understand the world, the characters and the reasons for the plot. Which I actualy didn't mind so much in this movie, everything seemed to flow nice, the character chemistry worked really well for me, the plot for the film was easy to follow but at the time was enjoyable. The romance wasn't shoved down my thoat and was something I could buy into. The action in this movie was actually really good, nicely choreographed and shot. I noticed someone people saying that certain parts didn't much sense, and that very well could be, but to me personally...there is no a single thing I would of done differently for this movie. I am planning to see it at least 2 more times in theaters and will for sure be buying this one on Blu-ray as well as giving a solid 9/10! I highly recommend seeing this, whether you think its a teen romance movie, a crappy book adaptation, or whatever, I can almost quarantee that you will walk out of this movie at least some where in the middle of hate and love, and best case scenario, you'll love it.
So if you have seen it already, let know what you thought! I want to hear them, don't be shy!!

The Maze Runner first poster and trailer!!

20th Century Fox has released a trailer for its book to movie adaptation of The Maze Runner, which stars Dylan O’Brien as Thomas, a boy who wakes up in a maze with a group of kids and no memories of the outside world. Kaya Scodelario (Skins), Will Poulter, Thomas Brodie Sangster, and Aml Ameen co-star in the pic directed by Wes Ball and produced by Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, and Lee Stollman. The Maze Runner is scripted by Noah Oppenheim from the YA sci-fi mystery drama novel by James Dashner. After being pushed back from its initial February 14 release date, the film will hit theaters September 19. I watched this trailer as I was working on this post, and it caught my attention so much I had to re-watch it a few times to soak it all in. I loved this trailer, and the poster above, they convey a great sense of what the movie is about, the tone its going to follow and the types of characters we can expect. But like always, you wont have to take my word for it, the trailer is right below, ENJOY! And don't forget to let me know your thoughts.

Arnold talks Terminator Genesis!

The man that made the Terminator franchises as big as it is has made some recent comments about the upcoming reboot/remake...and boy does he over sell it. I have no trouble with actors ect selling their films, because they should, but there is a fine line you try not to cross so it doesn't look like your over selling/compensating. And well...Arnold in my opinion crossed that with these comments. I was already some what excited for the movie without all this, so that could be I felt like he was trying to hard, but hey, my opinion isn't the only one that matters here, I want to know what you all think of these comments by Arnold!?

The Incredibles 2 on the way!!!

The LONG awaited follow up to one of my personal favorite Pixar films has finally announced that its getting a sequel, that's right, The Incredibles according to Disney CEO is finally in the works. No word on what the plan is, but just the fact that it's coming is good enough for me...until I found that Brad Bird, screen writer for the first one was returning, then I just lost my shit! With them bringing on the original guy who brought these characters to us to write the sequel, its going to fantastic!

James Brown Bio-Pic Get on Up first trailer!!

The godfather of soul is finally getting the respect and recognition he deserves from Hollywood in his very own Bio-Pic with 42 star Chadwick Boseman with Tate Taylor director of The Help. Before my thoughts on the trailer....here it is!!
Now that you have seen it, I hope, I loved this trailer!! I am not going to lie to you, growing up I was never a James Brown fan, but as I got older and my interests matured...I really enjoy me some James Brown songs, so when I heard about a bio-pic(which I usually avoid) I was some what excited. And the trailer did not disappoint, it had me engaged, gave us a good sense of the tone for the movie, and portrayed the great talents they have attached. This was/is a great trailer, and I can't wait to see the movie.

Keeping Up with the Joneses, a new Superbad Director Comedy!!

Keeping Up With the Joneses is a new comedy With Superbad and Paul director Greg Mottola on board to helm the project, the comedy film will follow an unfulfilled type-A suburban couple who learn that their neighbors are undercover agents. The first couple grows suspicious of the sexy, charismatic new neighbors as they ultimately become embroiled in the overall plot. Jon Hamm and Zach Galifianakis are going to bring their talents for comedy to the main male roles.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Galifianakis and Hamm are still in talks, but the duo seem to have some chemistry together, according to those that have seen their Between Two Ferns episode.(I have not...)
Hamm, who will be ending his run as Don Draper on AMC's drama Mad Man, will next be seen on the big screen in Million Dollar Arm(a remake that Icould live without). Meanwhile, Hangover star Galifianakis made headlines with his hilarious Between Two Ferns interview with U.S. President Barack Obama. Galifianakis will be on the big screen in Muppets Most Wanted next. Keeping Up With the Joneses still has to cast the female leads, and schedule a production date. So until all that is done and decided...I think I am done talking about a movie that doesn't really peak my interest all that much...haha

New Wolverine stand alone to follow X-Men Apocalypse!

With the pleasing success of The Wolverine, it's only fitting that Fox wants to follow up on it. And Fox has approached James Mangold, director of The Wolverine, to helm the planned film. James on his Twitter account stated that we won't see anything on this until after Apocalypse but personally...I can wait that long for it. I want another good Wolverine film that addresses what few problems I had with the last one. And I think James Mangold with Hugh Jackman is just the way to go! What are your thoughts on James Mangold returning to the franchise? Don't be shy, speak up!
(Look at this guy...he's a BEAST!! LOL)

Mark Webb stepping down as director after TAS3 and...NEW TAS2 Trailer!!

Well as the title suggests, Mark Webb has announced that after The Amazing Spiderman 3 he will be stepping away from the director chair and focusing more on producing. But here is his thoughts in his own words courtesy of the guys at AMC Movie talk.
I think this is a great movie for him, take a step back and keep his creative mojo running. Working on my own novel has shown me that you need to take a step back every once in a while to keep from closing off your mind. So finding someone else to take over for him after the third movie, totally support that, as well as him taking on a more producer like role.
The Amazing Spiderman 2 hits theaters May 2nd 2014, and here is a new trailer released 3/19/2014!

Taken 3 is on the way and has signed...

I personally had forgotten that a third one was even coming, that's how little of an impression the last one made on me...not sure that's a good thing but whatever. Yes there is a third one coming, and with that comes casting, and besides Liam Neeson who is reprising his role, they have also attached/signed Maggie Grace to reprise her role has his daughter...I really hope she doesn't get kidnapped again...which according to reports prior to this casting she is not, I have a little glimmer of hope fro the third installment of this franchise. Are any of you excited for a third Taken film? Fill me in!!

Pan attaches 2 more actors to its cast!

The girl with the dragon tattoo star, Rooney Mara has been attached along side Hugh Jackman to the Warner Bros. Joe Write live action Pan film to play Tigerlily. They have also got Tron Legacy star Garrett Hedland set to play Hook. I think it is safe to say that this movie is really shaping up well. They are grabbing up some serious talent and with early reports of this movie following the darker side of the original stories....I am starting to look forward to this movie more and more. If you ave not seen the girl with the dragon tattoo I highly suggest you do, its a fantastic movie and Mara is great in it.

Jeremy Irons makes a Batman Vs. Superman confession....

So during a recent interview with the soon be Alfred in the upcoming Batman Vs Superman movie, he let slip that the script for the already in production film...was not quiet done yet. I have read online that some people are some what put off by this statement and are losing faith in the project. I have also read, from people with more level heads, that this is not uncommon in the film industry. The written word for a film is always subject to change and fixes once you start shooting. Something that works well on paper may not translate well to the movie once shooting starts. So I personally don't feel like this is a bad thing or anything that I need to worry about. Thor the Dark World had to do rewrites why in production, The Lego movie was passed around between several writers and they both turned out great, those are of course just examples. Still, I want to know what you all think of this...don't be shy!

Hal Douglas, the main man for all things Movie Trailer is dead at 89.....

A lot of people do not actually know this guys name or face. But everyone knows his voice. His amazing voice talents were lent to anything ranging from comedy to drama. He is known by many in the Hollywood community as the master voice-over guy, respected by everyone in his circle. He told the Los Angeles Times back in 2006 that he let intuition guide his voice-over work.
"I get direction, but for the most part it is kind of working in the dark to an extent, particularly for movies. You get the description of the movie, the contexts of the lines that you are doing, and the rest of it is intuitive. It comes as a result from a long history of doing this stuff. Movies, particularly, fall into departments. You have an action film, you have a romantic film, you have the dark films. They all suggest an attitude and a voice quality. I don't do character voices per se, but depending upon the emotion, try to approach it as an actor."
Hal passed away March 7th 2014, and had been battling pancreatic cancer for several years. Here is some works he has done over the years for those that don't know him and even for those that do.
