First 5 Min of How to Train Your Dragon 2 released!!!

This last week Dreamworks released the first 5 min of HTTYD 2 online...watch below first then we can talk about it a little.
Obviously nothing over the top in just 5 min of the movie, but I really like it. The aging of the characters, the flying scenes look fantastic, Toothless as always is charming. I had already planned to see this on release because I really liked the first one, now I know for sure I will be there opening day for this. Everything just looks soo smooth and crisp.

Warner Bros ANNOUNCED a Justice League Movie!!!

Warner Bros has slammed us with some rather AWESOME news this past 2 weeks, first with the announcement of Cyborg being attached to Man of Steel 2 in the form of his human body, Vic Stone played by Broad Way stage performer Ray Fisher. He wont have a big role, it will most likely be a small cameo to set up for the live action Justice League that has been announced for 2017. There is also a rumor that it will be shot back to back with Man of Steel 2 so maybe if we are lucky it could see it sooner than 2017.
Director Zach Snyder also talked about how Batman got into talks for Man of Steel 2...
Seems pretty legit to me and of course makes sense, once you name drop Batman...everything seems weak. He also talked about the costumes in his office for the film, mostly about how he would love to show us...but that isn't his call haha.

Pitch Perfect Movie Review!!!!

Ok, so I have been told by countless people that I really need to watch this because it is a pleasant surprise of a movie. So I finally watched it, and actually watched a second time right after because it was such a fun movie to watch. And because I had such a fun time watching it, it's hard for me to tell if its a good movie or not. So instead of all that I will just talk about what I liked about it. First off, the singing actually. I actually really enjoyed the singing in this musical comedy. I will say right now that I am NOT a MUSICAL fan, I hate musical movies for the most part. There are exceptions to this of course but a general statement...ugh. Anyways, I liked it here, was fun, was catchy and worked well for me. The other thing I loved was the comedy and the character interactions, Fat Amy killed it here, and the surprise vomit at the start from Aubrey was awesome, it really set the tone I thought, it's what got me instantly interested in the movie. Obviously the movie centers on Beca, so we can't talk about this movie without touching base there some. I really enjoyed the plot around her, was nothing new or special but it was grounded and easy to get into, something anyone can relate to. So needless to say again, I really had a fun time with this movie, made me laugh, made me cheer on in the inside, and caught myself dancing in my seat a little honestly. Thanks to everyone that told me to watch this relentlessly!

Channing Tatum talks Gambit more!!!

Recently Channing spoke out more about his possible Gambit role and his "talks" with Lauren Donnor over at Fox.
I have to say that it starting to look more an more likely that he may be our next Gambit, and he sounds excited about it every time which makes me want to believe that he can do it. So for now I am on board with the IDEA of him POSSIBLY playing Gambit in a future X-Men movie because lets be clear, nothing has been confirmed or set in stone just yet. Fox is waiting to see how Days of Future Past does and I think it will blow our minds and remind us of how good the first 2 X-Men movies were.

Magic Mike XXL gets Release date!!!

The sequel to the both male and female popular Magic Mike has been given a release date of July 3rd 2015. Yes I said male and female, because guys, those that actually watched it, know full well you enjoyed it. I am curious about this summer release date though. I would of figured more of a spring or early fall release date for the movie. Maybe they are hoping that with all the male demographic movies women will feel compelled to see it....odd thought but hope it works out for them. There are no casting announcements yet but it is believed that the original main cast will be returning.

Fast and Furious 7 update!!!

So there has been a lot of rumor floating around about this the past few weeks but I refuse to write anything here that has not been confirmed by someone credible, obviously that has been the case. Fast 7 is moving forward in the production and is using Paul Walkers brothers Caleb and Cody for finish his last remaining scenes using CGI and body double technologies. Here is the official release that was given by Universal.
Good for you Universal. I just hope they do the movie that Paul poured his life into justice. Obviously it is a move that is good for set moral but I hope the movie is still as good as Paul would want it to be with the addition of his brothers.

Will Ferrell and John C Reilly teaming up for Boarder Guards!!!

If you loved Step Brothers as much as I did not then this sounds right up your alley. Will Ferrell and John C Reilly are getting together again for what sounds like a pretty wacky comedy in true Will Ferrell style. Adam McKay in talks to direct with Jesse Armstrong set to write the script.

"The movie follows two friends who decide to patrol the U.S. border to keep out illegal immigrants only to find themselves in trouble after getting stranded across the border in Mexico and now have to cross illegally."

As funny as this sounds I really can not stand Will Ferrell, but I am sure a lot of people that read this do, so this ones for you. Does this sound like something you would be interested in? Let me know below!!

New and Last X-Men Days of Future Past trailer has been released!!!!

Holy crap...this trailer is fantastic!! Before I get into too much though, lets talk about this. We finally got the last trailer for the upcoming X-Men Days of Future Past and for those that have not heard yet, Anna Paquin's scenes have been re-added to the film according to a report from Hollywood reporter that interviewed Bryan Singer. With that out of the way, here is the latest trailer for what is becoming my most highly anticipated movie of the summer...
Yeah....that trailer was freaking great. I thought the other 2 that came out were great but this one took this movie to a whole new level for me. Getting our first real look at Quicksilver and how he fits into the plot was good, put a lot of the worries I had about the character to rest. Now obviously this movie could still suck...but I am going in hoping for the latter.

Hans Zimmer to return for Batman vs Superman!?!?

The man that gave us the epic new score to Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy and Zach Snyder's Man of Steel has, in a recent interview, just made everyone, whether they liked Man of Steel or not, very happy.
He plans to return, during his crazy busy schedule to once again, blow our minds wit new sounds/scores for the upcoming Batman vs Superman movie. I LOVED the score from Man of Steel, it was epic, made everything feel larger than life, and as much as I truly hold the 70's Superman theme to my heart...Zimmer's take on it was fantastic. I am pumped he plans to return for the sequel. And because I love the new song so much, I added a youtube link with it just for you all. Enjoy!!

Gone Girl Trailer with Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike review!!!

The first trailer for Ben Affleck's next movie has finally been released, Gone Girl. So from what I understand the movie follows Affleck, the husband of a missing woman...everyone thinks he did it...blah...blah....I honestly could not care less about this movie. I love Ben Affleck, he is a great actor and director(even though he is not directing this film) but the plot to this movie from what has been released anyways, is nothing special. It is based on a book and supposedly the ending has been changed for the movie but I have not read it so I am only giving my opinion as a movie goer. I do have plans to see this movie because of Ben and Rosamund Pike(the wife) and I hope the movie it going to be more than just a husband killed his wife film...here is the trailer, see for your self, its nothing special and the song is kind of irritating actually.

Decoding Annie Parker trailer review!!

So Decoding Annie Parker is re-telling of a true event surrounding breast cancer and one doctor together with one patient looking to find answers as to why this condition appears to be random and hereditary. Personally I know I am not the demographic for this but I am a sucker for anything that has to do with medical stories and real people/events. I am totally looking forward to this film. BUT lets talk about the trailer after you see it...
Hopefully you watched it before continuing. I like this trailer for one thing....it gave me a good sense of the movies plot, but it also appears to be more of a comedic telling of these rue events, and they very well could of been...but I am partial to these types of films because they make me emotional...you can call that sappy or whatever else but you don't watch drama's to feel nothing right? You don't watch action films to not feel a thrill right? Same difference LOL.
Let's recap, I am looking forward to the film but the trailer did not really sell me on the movie...hope the movie does a better job.

22 Jump Street Red Band trailer!!!!

New Red Band trailer for the sequel comedy of 21 Jump Street was released....and holy crap was it funnier than the first. Looks like we are going to get some re-hashes of old jokes with some new dialogue as well which is fantastic, but like always don;t just take my word for it check it out below and let me know your thoughts!!

First OFFICIAL Star Wars Ep 7 casting news!!!

Now I know its not really the casting news we wanted but its a step in the right direction. Chewbacca has been named with the man Peter Meyhew reprising the suit for the new movies. The other small piece of news is that they main cast for the film has been set for months and shooting for the film has been underway for a while now. Which is a great feeling knowing that the film has started production already. Makes it feel more real I think.

James Bond has left the Lawyer movie!?!?!

There has been no word yet on why Daniel Craig just walked away from his previously upcoming Laywer drama, The Whole Truth. but the fact remains that he did. So now they are looking to replace the A-listed actor with someone new in 3 weeks according to reports...all I have to say is that...good luck.

WB talks about Captain America 3 VS Man of Steel 2!!!

Alright...this is by no means new news, but it is nonetheless pretty interesting to talk about. Marvel had announced way before Warner Bros their release date for Cap 3, and when WB pushed the release for Batman vs Superman either they weren't paying attention of thought they would win the game of chicken. But when Kevin Fiege said in a formal press release that they have no plans to move because they were first...he declared war. And in a recent press release from WB...they blinked...but don't take my word for it, read below.
If that doesn't scream scared I don't know what does. But! I think moving is a great idea, even though I personally would see both on the same night when they came out I would rather MoS2 move to before Cap 3 or after....I think before would be the smarter choice but whatever....I don't work for WB.

Matt Damon attached to The Martian movie!!

The upcoming book adaptaion and science fiction thriller The Martian may have lost its director, Drew Goddard, but could score a big Hollywood name in Matt Damon, who is reportedly considering starring in the film. Goddard left the film in order to direct Spiderman spinoff Sinister Six, which I am super excited for!
"The film is about an American space explorer stranded on Mars who has to find a way to get back to Earth before his supplies run out."
I actually really like t sounds of his movie, and this very well could be because of the Matt Damon starring in it prospect but I think it sounds really interesting. I must admit though that I have never heard of the book and I may have to fix that....

Captain America Winter Soldier Movie SPOILER Review!!!

Alright, as I said before this movie had so much going on and was so outstanding that I just had to do a Spoiler review, and yes that along with the title is your spoiler warning. If you have not seen the movie yet, go do that before reading any further. With that taken care of lets talk about this movie!!!

Lets start at the beginning and work our way through...I loved at the start when we see Steve Rogers (Cap) doing a morning jog and passing by the guy that will later be Falcon, and the constant, "On your left." dialogue. It was funny, charming and it started the relationship. The chemistry between Steve and Sam(Falcon) was evident early on and it worked for me. From here lets talk about the boat mission with Widow and Cap, there chemistry on screen is the best of the film because their different world views cause conflict but at the same time they respect each other. Their screen time together was amazing. Especially when Cap finds out on the boat that Widow had a different mission from his and he was unaware of it. Which of course causes trouble when the hijack leader gets away. While on that topic, the fighting in this movie...OMG the fighting, every fighting scene was full throttle ass kicking fun to watch. Was just beautifully done. Now the screen time that Sam Jackson's Nick Fury gets this movie and the history/background we get for his character is great. We start to understand and see why Cap and Fury have these differences(besides the era differences) and their chemistry this film is top notch. Seems to be a recurring theme for this movie, everyone works 110% together and it makes the experience fantastic. While talking about Fury, what about that car chase scene?? Was great, really gave you that spy thriller Tom Clancy type of movie feel and that is when I started to compare Winter Soldier with Avengers, that is also when I figured out that hat this movie is better, but in very different way from Avengers. Meaning you can not compare the two, the tones and style are too different. When Fury "died" I immediately called BS...but that's because its a super hero movie, no one ever really dies in these things.

Now lets movie on to the action scenes, every single one of them worked for me, the meshed well with the story, everything had a purpose and reason for turning out that way. When we find out that Zola was alive in the shape of a computer and that Hydra was still alive and thriving in SHIELD, as someone that does not read comics, I was like...WTF!? I totally did not see that coming at all. And even though I am not a fan of villain monologues this one worked for me and was great at the end when he said, "by the way, I have been stalling you." it was great! Which also means I need to step back a bit, when we get our first real look at Robert Redford(Alexander Pierce) the head of SHIELD. He played his role perfect, it was really hard for me to tell, good guy? Bad guy? I had no idea...which is great, I like when a movie keeps me guessing. Then the Cap escaping from SHIELD was FANTASTIC! The elevator fight was great, his line before it starts, which we see in the trailer but I did not care, "Before we start, does anyone want to get out?"....was hilarious. There are just sooo many AMAZING moments in this movie, it is hard to talk about all of them, but lets talk about our first introduction to Falcon flying, when Widow pushed that guy off the building, I thought they really did kill him and I was confused...was like, wait, he didn't tell them anything yet, that's not good. Then comes Falcon flying up holding the dude, was pretty awesome to see the "suit" and I was slightly worried that it might look cheesy, but it totally worked. We can't talk Captain America 2 without talking about Winter Soldier, who is Bucky Barnes, Steves WW2 friend that "died" in the first movie. He scared me, he played his part to perfectly that even just walking he was menacing, and fights between Cap and him were so fun to watch. I can not even decide on a favorite point in the movie...although I think at the end when Cap walks up the hill in his WW2 outfit that is pretty high up there. I loves his uniform from the first first, but his "stealth" uniform" from the boat mission was sweet to.
I loved that SHIELD is practically no more, with the issue with Hydra and their main office being destroyed in the final fight, I am curious to see how this all turns out now. Nick has gone into hiding, Cap is going to chase after Bucky, Falcon is going to help him, Widow has had every secret ever kept about her past and present revealed to the world then the greatest question...what about the Avengers? And the SHIELD TV show? so many open questions and closed chapters in this movie. Gah I need to see it again, and I will at least 2 more times. I said before that I give this a SOLID 10/10 and I stand by that, I also still believe that its better than Avengers but in a totally different way.
I have talked about my feeling on this movie, let me hear yours! GO GO!!

Star Wars Ep 7 starts shooting!!!

Ok so the title is a little misleading, Star Wars Ep 7 has not started shooting just yet, but they have announced that it will start on May 14th in Morocco for the first few weeks. Which has many guessing that there are going to be parts that take place on Tatooine. There are also reports that come May 4th we might actually get our first actual bit of casting news and other such related things for Ep 7 so be ready and hoping with me!!

New Batman Vs Superman Casting!!!

Well I suppose it was only a matter of time before Warner Bros announced more  BvS news...I am not entirely sure what this casting news means since they are described as newly formed characters but here it is...
Academy Award winner Holly Hunter
300 Rise of an Empire Callan Mulvey
and  The Wolverine's Tao Okamoto
that pretty much sums up the Batman vs Superman news...I suppose with someone as talented as Holly Hunter being attached I can start to feel slightly more invigorated for this movie, I just really wish that t hadn't been pushed back.

TMNT cast's voices for Leonardo and Splinter!!!

Two very unlikely people have been cast as voice talents for the upcoming TMNT movie in the shape of Johnny Knoxville(the right)for Leonardo and Tony Shalhoub(the left) as Master Splinter. I am totally unsure of what to say to this...there has been so much negative thinking about this movie until now and then we get hit with this...I have been trying to hard to stay neutral and just hope the actual movie is far better than the news surrounding it, but that is getting harder and harder. I can not see Knoxville in the Leonardo voice role, I just can't. Leo is the leader, suppose to be a strong individual that takes charge. I don't see or hear Knoxville's voice when I think of that. As for Tony, he is more known for comedy but he is a great actor and for someone like Splinter who says very little I can roll with that for now.

Fantastic Four casts Doctor Doom and Possible villains revealed??

So a rather unknown actor has been cast for the role of Victor Von Doom in the form of Toby Kebbell. I only know the face from his role in Prince of Persia, which unlike most everyone, I enjoyed, was not great, but was fun to watch to a extent. Anyways, so I can not speak to his talent based on just that, but he does have other big name movies coming like Dawn of the Planet of Apes so obviously he is talented and I can role with that. In other Fantastic Four news, there are rumors and thoughts that we could see DoomBots as a means to showcase the hero's powers.
Doombots for those that do not know, are mechanical replicas of Doctor Doom that have been used against the Avengers and the Fantastic Four in various ways through the comics. And since they are not alive they are perfect to show off the Fantastic Four's powers/ability's.

Zac Efron takes Shia's place in The Associate!!

Zac Efron, to me, is one of those pretty face actors that doesn't get the credit he deserves. Much like DiCaprio in his younger years, am I saying they are the same Caliber, no, Zac has a ways to go still but I have seen in several of his movies the ability to reach that level. So when I heard that he was taking this role in a more drama/serious tone for a director that was a great stepping stone to actors like Tome Cruise and Brad PItt I was happy for him. But lets talk about the movie which is described like this...
"Efron will portray a recent graduate of Yale Law School grad who takes on a job as an associate at the one of the biggest law firms in the world. Along with practicing law, though, he's asked to spy and cheat in a scheme that could send him to prison."
A rather vague synopsis but its still early, and as I said, I like Zac, think hes a great talent that through this movie will hopefully start to get noticed so for now I am all for this move by him and for this movie.

Paul Blart 2 is coming...?

I can not lie to you all, when I first saw this movie in theaters it was a guilty pleasure, I laughed had a good time was fun. However, when it was released to DVD I rented it and realized it was not nearly as funny and enjoyable a second time around. So am I excited for a sequel to this movie? No, I am going to have to say I have interest in this story line continuing, will I see he sequel? Yes, I will be there to see it regardless of whether or not I like the idea of this movie being made to pull in some cash to the studio. And lets face it, with a ~$24 million budget on the first that made ~$180 million the sequel was going to happen. Let me hear from you guys though, does a Paul Balrt Mall Cop 2 sounds interesting at all?

Expendables 3 Teaser Trailer!!

Well now...it seems its time for another shoot them all dead action star ensemble in the form of Expendables 3 on August 15 2014. I enjoyed the first two for what they were, but they are by no means brain wracking thrillers or even great movies, they are full throttle action with the biggest names in in the action genre and it works for me. I know what I am getting when I walk into the theater for this type of movie, so I am all for it, I do wish that Jackie Chan was apart of it like the original idea was, but scheduling conflicts happen often in Hollywood plus its not a major loss. So for now I say bring on the blood and constant explosions!!

Lucy Movie Trailer with Scarlett Johansson!!!

I had not heard anything about this movie until a few days ago when the trailer was released. And honestly the synopsis had not sold me on the idea. However, I watched the trailer and I was filled with quiet a bit of awe and curiosity about where this film could go. I thought the trailer was amazingly done, Scarlett fits into the role and tone of this perfectly, and actually getting to see what the synopsis was trying to say just sold it for me. I am totally on board for this movie, it looks like a refreshing re-imagination of the Matrix meets Limitless.

Captain America the Winter Soldier Movie Review!!!

Alright everyone, I went with my girlfriend and a couple friends to see this movie opening night last night, and I have no intention to talk too much about it here because I am planning a SPOILER FILLED review for MONDAY. With that said, I will say that if you for some random reason have no plans to see this movie...you really need to adjust them and see this. It was beyond amazing, the hype about it being better than Avengers is, in my opinion, very true. This is my new favorite Marvel movie, the first Captain America was my original favorite, but this one was such a welcome surprise and a great refreshing take on the Marvel cinematic universe that it truly does stand out among the catalog of Marvel films we have gotten so far. I give this movie a SOLID 10/10 and if you want to talk spoilers for this movie, be ready for my spoiler review come Monday, I plan to see this at least 2 more times before then so I can make sure not to miss a thing. GO SEE CAPTAIN AMERICA THE WINTER SOLDIER!!!

Chronicle 2 has new script writer....

With all the issues surrounding this sequel and is possible direction....I am not so sure I want to write this. But I loved the first one a lot and I am still holding onto a slim glimmer of hope for the sequel. They have announced today that they are utilizing the writing talents of Jack Stanley to pen the script for the Chronicle sequel. The major rumor surrounding this is that it's going to  a rehash of the first one, just with new cast...if that is the case and direction they decide to go I will have lost all interest in this property, so, if your reading this over at Fox....Do no do a rehash, unless you make an announcement that you are planning a trilogy and just want to reboot this franchise with a new sort of direction with a new set of writers....even then I would still just prefer an actual sequel...

Fast & Furious 7 has resumed Production!!

Nothing major really to report, except as the title says, production for the delayed Fast & Furious 7 movie has resumed following Paul's passing this last November over Thanksgiving break and Universal deciding how to proceed. The new release date is set for April 10 2015. Director James Wan posted this to his Intsagram...

New Red Band Trailer for Sex Tape hit the Web!!!

We finally got a good trailer for one of the most ridiculous sounding movies in a awhile, Sex Tape is about a couple that tries to spice up their relationship by making a Sex Tape that finds its way in the Cloud and out in the open...When I first heard about this I had no idea how they would make it work but just based of the trailer...
It looks hilarious, Cameron looks great, Jason Segel is always funny, and now that I have seen how they are using this idea, I am on board with it. It looks like it should be a great humorous time in the theater.
