Lego Movie, Jupiter Ascending, Man of Steel 2, Steven Spielberg

Lego Movie TV Spot and Posters!
With the upcoming Lego Movie it was only a matter of time before we got some posters showing some of the character cameos and among those we have a look at Batman)above and Superman(below). That isn't all we were given though, we also got a out first TV spot trailer which can be found at the bottom. Now I touched on this movie awhile back when I first heard about but to recap...I actually think this movie will be quiet enjoyable. It looks funny, there are tons of surprise cameos and awesome voice talents attached to it. So for now this movie has my vote as a must see. Enjoy the posters and trailer!

Steven Spielberg
The Hollywood legend appears to have found his next project and its of a 50 year old script originally written by Dalton Trumbo, Montezuma. According to CinemaBlend  "The plot would follow the relationship between Montezuma, the Aztec King, and Hernan Cortes, the Spanish explorer who ended the Aztec empire, beginning the first wave of Spanish explorers into Mexican territory. Javier Bardem, who has had a killer run in the last couple of years working with Sam Mendes, Terrence Malick and Ridley Scott, has shown interest in the Cortes role and presumably would be a part of this package." Obviously with something as old as that it would need some serious touch-up to be viable in this technologically advanced world, and Steven is planning to have Steve Zallian do just that. How does something like this sound to everyone? Just off of that and seeing the director...I am totally in!

Man of Steel 2
With movies that are as huge as this one and as highly anticipated as this one, rumors ranging from "Batman will die!" to "This is going to be a Batman movie!" are inevitable. When it comes to such things its up to people and sites like Batman-On-Film to sort through it all and come to reasonable conclusions about may actually be true. According to BOF and CinemaBlend,
"In a series of guarded statements, BOF writer Bill Ramey claims that it is not a "team" film, but in fact a Superman film with other characters, through and through. This would explain Amy Adams, Lawrence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from The Man of Steel, joining Ben Affleck’s Batman, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa’s mystery supporting character." This is a very reasonable thought, and not something I did not think about, but I am a sucker for believing someone when they say they are making a Superman  sequel and nothing more...Now in a further talk,
"Ramey claims that, as expected, Lex Luthor is the big bad in this film, though there is a second supporting villain onboard as well. Ramsey claims he can’t reveal the other villain, but he coyly remarks that the character is "highly rumored" to be in the film. Could it be Doomsday, the role that many are linking to Momoa? It certainly isn’t Martian Manhunter or Aquaman, two other characters linked to Momoa who Ramey claims are not in the movie at all. And we all know it ain’t a Justice League party without J’onn J’onzz! You also won’t get that much Batman in this film, as none of his colorful rogue’s gallery will be making an appearance." Of course everything here and then some is still rumor and speculation no matter how you slice it but you never know how close they are on the mark until the movie is released. Also there is some rumor and talk that the Amazonian's in this reincarnation of the DC heroes will be ancestors of Krypton...recognizing their superhuman strength but also limiting it due to living on earth for long that they have been diluted and acclimated to the atmosphere. If this is true I don't like...it spits in the face of everything that makes Wonder Woman who and what she is. Here is hoping to some of there rumors being true...and others staying rumor.

Channing Tatum
The Wachowski siblings next hopeful blockbuster, Jupiter Ascending, is set to hit theaters 1 week earlier than planned, June 18th. With that done, above is a new picture of the star Channing that has surfaced. Channing's character named Caine, a genetically engineered hunter who works to protect a young woman (Mila Kunis) on Earth from the evil Queen of the Universe looks pretty bad ass...even if he is covered in make up and fake ears. When I first heard that this movie was coming and that the people that gave us the Matrix were behind it I went full nerd...and that was before watching the trailer, now that I have seen it and done some more reading up this upcoming movie...yup, still nerding out over this I can't wait eat some over priced popcorn and watch this.

Kite Trailer!
For those that haven't heard and or have no idea what Kite is, there is a movie starring Samuel L Jackson based on the Japanese anime, manga, and graphic novel.

"The film centers on the schoolgirl orphan assassin Sawa (India Eisley), who sets out to avenge the death of her father (Liam J. Stratton) with the help of his ex-partner (Samuel L. Jackson). And this plan involves blowing holes in people’s hands and heads, plus loads of flipping around and leaping from tall things." The original story/concept for the anime and manga is some what similar. Compliments to T.H.E.M Anime Reviews for the anime synopsis;  "Sawa, a typical college girl, has a dark secret. She systematically assassinates people as instructed by her mentor, a self-styled vigilante of justice. However, the moment she begins to question the reasonings behing the slayings, she must defend herself and a fellow teenage assassin, from the deadly repercussions." As a deep lover of all things anime and bloody, I am willing to give this a shot at the moment. Will it be as good as the anime...probably not but that isn't a bad thing, translating something from a Japanese anime as we found out from Dragon Ball Evolution...yeah you all remember this crap shoot...is extremely hard so lets hope for the best here.

Thor 2, Man of Steel 2, Star Wars, Divergent

Thor the Dark World Blu-Ray
The best Marvel film of the 2013 year will be hitting shelves for us the fans to re-watch and re-live the excitement this coming February 25th. Thor the Dark World is the second Marvel Phase 2 installment leading into Avengers Age of Ultron, and as I said, my personal vote for best of the 2013 year over Iron Man 3. The Blu-Ray release is including exclusive looks into: Never-Before-Seen Extended and Deleted Scenes with Optional Commentary, Gag Reel, A Brother’s Journey: Thor & Loki, Feature Commentary with Alan Taylor, Tom Hiddleston, Marvel’s Kevin Feige and cinematographer Kramer Morgenthau, Scoring Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World with Brian Tyler, Exclusive Look at Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Marvel One-Shot: All Hail the King. For those that didn't know, Thor 2 brought in $629 million world wide, which may not be as high as Iron Man 3...but for me I don't care how much a  movie makes so long as I had a great time watching it.

The Rock is Green Lantern??
   Just yesterday I talked about the rumor of Dwayne Johnson wanting to play a DC hero and having already talked to WB with no specifics given, there is yet another rumor floating around today, again I say just a rumor at this point;
So because there is so much talk and buzz flying around about this I figured I would chime in on it. Yesterday I said I think The Rock would make a great Green Lantern and I stand by that, if this rumor turns out to be true...there will be no complaints from me what so ever. For those that have been following TheRock on Twitter may already know this but a while back Johnson posted this;
if the Rock wants to play it...then by all means make it happen WB/Hollywood! For those who do not know about Jon Stewart, here is some history of the Green Lantern for you; Jon Stewart was a replacement Green Lantern for Hal Jordan. He was an architect, and a U.S. Marine veteran. He filled in for Jordan when Hal couldn’t wear the ring. He fought along side the Justice League on multiple missions. The character has been featured in numerous Green Lantern stories over the years and though he's not Hal, I think after the flop with Reynonds...they may want to take a different approach.

Man of Steel 2
There has still been no word on the title for the upcoming Man of Steel 2 movie and actually there has been very little definitive's about this upcoming blockbuster slated for 2015. However we have been hearing that the sequel may be on a small budget of $131 million...which for those who do not know, that is $100 million less than the first one. This may be completely in-accurate but under the assumption it is...I am not sure how they can bring these to major league superheroes to the big screen on such a small budget and still make it great. Again this could be false information though...that's Hollywood for you.

Boba Fett Stand alone??
Remember all of those stories/rumors about potential Star Wars spinoff movies that would arrive in theaters every other year, breaking up the pattern of films from the new trilogy J.J. Abrams is directing and possibly giving time on screen to individual Star Wars characters who deserve their own movies? Well it seems we may have some small glimer of hope for one...that's rigt you guessed it, Boba Fett the bounty hunter. It will be one based on a screenplay writen and handed in by Oscar-nominated screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan. TV producer Jon Schnepp made this statement during a 24-hour movie podcast on Youtube staged by the usually reliable AMC Movie Talk. What is your thoughts on this turn of events?

Paul Walker
Universal has finally come out and said that Paul Walkers character in the Fast and Furious franchise will be retired. There has been all manner of speculation surrounding how Universal would handle this untimely passing and I personally like this idea. There has been rumor off killing off the character, re-casting the character, retiring the character, ect ect. And I think retiring him is the best way to do it. With Paul's passing this franchise is now hinging on Vin's shoulders if they want to continue expanding the franchise, which is something that is not easily done when you look at the grand scheme of things, this is a 12 year old franchise that was built on Paul and Vin's characters...losing one may in fact crush it. I am hoping it does not because I have been following it since it started and there isn't a single movie I don't enjoy watching. Drive on Fast and Furious franchise!!

January Releases, Disney animation, Marvel

Producers Guild!

The Screen Actors Guild. The Hollywood Foreign Press. The Broadcast Film Critics Association. The Producers Guild of America. The Academy...Yes I know there are a lot of different organizations out there in the world of movies that keep track of various things, but for this lets focus on the PGA(Producers Guild of America/The Producers Guild). This year, according to The Hollywood Reporter, 10 feature films are contending to the PGA’s top prize. They are, in alphabetical order:
American Hustle (Columbia Pictures)
Producers: Megan Ellison, Jon Gordon, Charles Roven, Richard Suckle

Blue Jasmine (Sony Pictures Classics)
Producers: Letty Aronson, Stephen Tenenbaum

Captain Phillips (Columbia Pictures)
Producers: Dana Brunetti, Michael De Luca, Scott Rudin

Dallas Buyers Club (Focus Features)
Producers: Robbie Brenner, Rachel Winter

Gravity (Warner Bros. Pictures)
Producers: Alfonso Cuarón, David Heyman

Her (Warner Bros. Pictures)
Producers: Megan Ellison, Spike Jonze, Vincent Landay

Nebraska (Paramount Pictures)
Producers: Albert Berger, Ron Yerxa

Saving Mr. Banks (Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures)
Producers: Ian Collie, Alison Owen, Philip Steuer

12 Years a Slave (Fox Searchlight Pictures)
Producers: Anthony Katagas, Jeremy Kleiner, Steve McQueen, Brad Pitt & Dede Gardner

Wolf of Wall Street (Paramount Pictures)
Producers: Riza Aziz, Emma Koskoff, Joey McFarland

The PGA nominees serve a multipule purposes, as Oscar trackers view them as a guildline of which films have momentum heading into the Academy Award nominations. With this in mind, it’s worth noting that other Oscar ranking movies like Lee Daniels’ The Butler, August: Osage County, Ron Howard’s Rush and Inside Llewyn Davis which did not make the PGA list...that doesn't mean anything in my opinion though. The Academy can go as high as 10 when filling out its Best Picture category(which in some years doesn't seem long enough). Or they can compress the group of contenders down to five… which seems impossible given this year's numerous movies that were just inspiring, heart warming, and master pieces.

Marvel One-Shot
For those that don't know, the Marvel one-shot is a short film that has been attached to DVD/Blu-ray releases to help fill in holes that the movie may have left. With that said the next Marvel one-shot has been announced/confirmed. The short will involve Sir Ben Kingsley that reportedly may involve The Mandarin. And not the quack actor who portrayed the Mandarin in Shane Black’s Iron Man 3, but the real Mandarin from the comics. And he is pissed that his identity was used as a ruse to deceive Tony Stark. Now this was only rumor and speculation until recently, now we know for a fact that the One-Shot has a title...  All Hail the King. The British Board of Film Classification today revealed the full specs for the DVD release of Thor: The Dark World(which I can not wait to own).

Big Hero 6
For those, like me, who have no idea who or what this is...lets do a run down on some basic information courtesy of Marvel Wiki.
"When the Japanese government wanted a team of state-sanctioned superheroes at their disposal, a top-secret consortium of politicians and business entities known as the Giri was formed to recruit and train potential superhuman operatives for "Big Hero 6". Despite reservations by some members of the Giri, Silver Samurai, a freelance ronin and former bodyguard of the terrorist Viper, was appointed as field commander. Secret agent Honey Lemon, inventor of the nanotechnology-based Power Purse from which she could access any object, also agreed to join the team. The tough-talking Gogo Tomago, able to transubstantiate her body into a fiery force blast by uttering her code-name, was released from prison on the condition that she serve on the team. The Machiavellian bureaucrat known only as Mr. Oshima was appointed as the Giri's spokesperson and coordinated Big Hero 6's activities.

Government scientists next identified 13-year-old boy genius Hiro Takachiho as a potential operative. Unimpressed with the Silver Samurai, Hiro declined joining the team until his mother was kidnapped by the Everwraith, the astral embodiment of all those killed in the 1945 nuclear attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Joined by Baymax, a synthetic bodyguard capable of synth-forming into a dragon which was created by Hiro using the brain engrams of his dead father, Hiro reluctantly joined forces with Big Hero 6 to prevent Everwraith from slaughtering millions in downtown Tokyo. During the battle, Big Hero 6 was joined by Sunfire, Japan's premiere super hero and a mutant with the ability to super-heat matter into plasma, who was instrumental in the Everwraith's defeat.

Soon after, Big Hero 6 moved their headquarters from the Giri Office Building to Japan's Cool World Amusement Park, where they were attacked by X the Unknowable, a monster born from a child's drawings that could transform its atomic structure into any form and shape. With the help of Alpha Flight, Big Hero 6 destroyed X the Unknowable in the fires of Mount Fuji. Afterwards, Big Hero 6 continued to protect Japan from all threats, such as when the team rescued Tokyo residents from a freak blizzard caused by the Crimson Cowl (Justine Hammer) and her Masters of Evil.

Eventually, Sunfire left Big Hero 6 so that he could work at Charles Xavier's X-Corporation office in Mumbai, India. His spot on the team was filled by Sunpyre, a young woman with similar solar-based powers who was pulled into this reality through the Power Purse and came to worship Honey Lemon as her own personal god. Similarly, after Silver Samurai was seemingly slain in an altercation with the assassin Elektra in Iraq, his spot on the team was filled by the enigmatic Ebon Samurai. With the two most experienced members of Big Hero 6 gone, Hiro became the team's new leader.

The members of Big Hero 6 fell victim to a mind-control device implanted within Baymax. Traveling to Canada, the mind-controlled super heroes attacked a new incarnation of Alpha Flight at a national park. After a brief battle, the mind-control device was short-circuited and the two teams parted as friends. Big Hero 6 returned to Japan to seek out the parties responsible for their mind-control."
Ok that is way more information than is probably needed, but this gives you an idea of what they are. Why is this important? Because Disney, since acquiring Marvel, has been making plans for an animated adaption of the universe and it seems that the Big Hero 6 is what we are getting. Just from what I could find and read up on, I like this idea, they sound interesting, but as with most people Marvel/Disney has earned my trust when it comes to their properties so I have high hopes for this.

January Releases!
  • The Legend of Hercules, "In the origin story of Hercules, the heroic son of Zeus embraces his incredible destiny by fighting to reclaim his kingdom from his villainous stepfather in this sweeping mythological adventure from director Renny Harlin (Cliffhanger, Die Hard 2). Born half-man/half-god and imbued with awe-inspiring superhuman strength, Hercules (Kellan Lutz) falls into a forbidden romance that quickly incurs the wrath of his calculating stepfather, the King. Subsequently exiled and forced into slavery, the heroic Hercules fights for his life as a gladiator, and vows to free his people from the tyranny of the evil monarch."
  • Lone Survivor, "Based on a true story, director Peter Berg's Lone Survivor stars Mark Wahlberg, Taylor Kitsch, Ben Foster, and Emile Hirsch as four Navy SEALs whose sensitive mission into the Afghan mountains is unexpectedly compromised, leading to a fierce skirmish with a small army of Taliban soldiers. The year is 2005. In the wake of the 9/11 terror attacks, the War in Afghanistan is well under way when military intelligence learns that a senior Taliban member is hiding out in a remote village deep in the Hindu Kush mountains of the Kunar Province. Convinced that his capture or killing could turn the tide of the difficult war in favor of the United States, the Navy SEALs hatch Operation Red Wings. The goal is simple -- send a select team of soldiers to stake out the village from the surrounding mountains, and move on their target when the time is right. Under the leadership of Lieutenant Michael Murphy (Kitsch), Marcus Luttrell (Wahlberg), Matt Axelson (Foster), and Danny Dietz (Hirsch) reach their checkpoint, and quickly realize that another nearby hill will provide a better vantage spot. Shortly after arriving at that new location and getting a positive ID on their target, however, the soldiers are caught off guard by three wandering shepherds, including a young boy. Ultimately, a heated vote over what to do with the captured shepherds leads Lt. Murphy to decide that the best course of action is to abide by the rules of engagement, meaning that the soldiers will abort the mission, release the captives, and retreat to their extraction point. Shortly after the shepherds are set free, however, the four SEALs find themselves surrounded by dozens of Taliban soldiers, and engaged in a fierce gunfight that -- with the aid of some truly brave villagers -- only one of them will make it out of."

  • Reasonable Doubt, "When up-and-coming District Attorney Mitch Brockden (Cooper) commits a fatal hit-and-run, he feels compelled to manipulate the case to acquit the accused criminal who was found with the body and blamed for the crime. Following the trial, Mitch's worst fears come true when he realizes that his actions freed a guilty man, and he soon finds himself on the hunt for the killer before more victims pile up."
Those are the one I see doing the best at the box office and with us the fans, these also hit the theater this month but I do not see them holding up as well; Ride Along, Devil's Due, Labor Day and That Awkward Moment. Ride Along does look enjoyable and out of this list it could be the best but compared to others listed above...I don't see it comparing. Which movie or movies are you going to see this month, let me know below!

The Rock and Hunger Games Mocking Jay

Hunger Games Mocking Jay
According to a poll done by Fandango, the upcoming Mocking Jay Part 1 due in 2014 is the highest anticipated film of that year. I for one am excited for it hoping that the franchise will continue getting better and following the books lead, that being said...it being my most anticipated movie, no. I am way more excited for SpiderMan and X-Men with Mocking Jay being very close. Now for a poll...

What is you most anticipated 2014 movie?

Dave Karger, Chief Correspondent with Fandango had this to say about the actress Jennifer Lawrence..."With Jennifer Lawrence’s appeal at all all-time high, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 will be the movie to beat at the 2014 box office. Last year, she won an Oscar for Silver Linings Playbook and starred in Fandango’s top-selling movie of all time, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. This year, she stars in 2014’s most anticipated movie, Mockingjay, co-stars in the year’s third most anticipated movie, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and is topping Oscar buzz for her supporting performance in American Hustle. Every actor dreams of having a career like the one that Jennifer is enjoying right now."

The Rock playing a DC Hero?
The Rock is one of those actors that is very outgoing and in touch with his fans, every once in a while he addresses his twitter page and answers questions posed to him, and a bit ago he posted this...
I am one of those people that truly loves how far Dwayne Johnson has come in his career. He gets better with every movie and has proven lately that he is a great actor and he is most certainly built to play a superhero, no one can argue that. The question is...who in the DC universe should he and could be play? I vote Green Lantern, Cyborg, Lobo, and even Martian Manhunter. What do you guys and gals have to say?

New Years Eve MOVIE NEWS CATCH UP!

Happy New Years!
Hey there everyone and welcome back! I hope everyone's holiday was as fun and relaxing as mine was, opened presents, chilled with family and friends, ect and so on. If you are going out tonight or are already be safe and have fun, if you are not going out that is alright, because while I was away the movie news has piled up and its time to break it down!

New Amazing Spiderman 2 trailer??
That is right...we got some new footage of our favorite web slinging superhero facing off against Electro in Times Square...now I do not know about anyone else but I was already plenty excited for this movie without the extra footage/trailer. I'm not sure if I like all the extended trailers we get now a days that sometimes can account for 30 mins of a movie by the tie it comes out...which personally for me ruins my enjoyment. Anyways, I loved the trailer kept me excited for the movie, got me to laugh and  although I just rambled a little, 2 trailers is not enough to ruin it for me!

Guardians of the Galaxy Poster?
"From Marvel, the studio that brought you the blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team - the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed epic space adventure, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. Th evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits - Rocket, a gun loving raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Peter discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand - with the galaxy's fate in the balance. Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is presented by Marvel Studios. The film releases August 1, 2014, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures."
Here is our first look at the Guardians in an official release from Marvel. I am not a comic follower as some may know by now so I don't know a whole lot about these characters from Marvel, but as a lover of superhero movies and a serious lover of what Marvel has given us so far...I trust them with whatever they bring to me until they release a stinker. Now I may not be a huge comic follower but I did some research on these heroes, so here we go...
Start with the far left shall we...Gamora, a badass green alien played by Zoe Saldana. The actress explained on the panel at San Diego Comic-Con in July, the character is a hardcore assassin and possesses superhuman strength, agility, speed and healing. She is an adopted daughter of the evil Thanos – the big purple dude featured in the end credits of The Avengers - but starts a new life for herself with the Guardians of the Galaxy fighting with the good guys.
Continuing right we have...Peter Quill a.k.a. Star-Lord, played by Parks and Recreation’s Chris Pratt. Despite his looks, he is actually half (mother)human and half alien(father). Also a master strategist and problem solver who is an expert in close quarter combat. When he was a kid he was taken away from Earth and never looked back. He spends his days trying to be a Han Solo-type smuggler, but, like Gamora, finds a new path thanks to his new group of friends.
Now to the middle of the picture... Rocket Raccoon may be a lot shorter than his Guardians of the Galaxy teammates, but underestimating him would be a big mistake. Voiced by Bradley Cooper, Rocket is one of a kind, as he was just a normal raccoon before being kidnapped and undergoing experimental medical treatments. As his name implies, he is a big fan of explosions and weaponry, and of all the members in the group his closest bond is with Groot for various reasons.
Second from the right...This body builder of an alien is Drax The Destroyer, played by wrestler Dave Bautista. In the comics the character began his life as an ordinary human named Arthur Douglas who saw his entire family killed at the hands of Thanos. Needing somebody to help fight the evil titan, a cosmic energy known as Kronos takes Douglas’ spirit and puts it into a powerful alien body. He’s not only incredibly strong but he is also incredibly skilled with a knife.
And finally we have...Groot. If you look at this character and think to yourself, "Man, that looks like a tree from Lord of the Rings," then you have little to no sense of humor. Groot is an alien of the species Flora colossus, and is the strongest member (and in some cases immortal) of the Guardians of the Galaxy. He has the ability to change his size and can absorb wood to become even stronger than he is naturally. He also has genius-level intelligence, but due to serious injury he is only able to say "I am Groot", Vin Diesel, is voicing the character.
And there you have it, your information on the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy heroes. I expect to see everyone there for what should be another amazing Marvel movie!

Winter Soldier!
This new still hit the web giving us a glimpse at Robert Redford's character in the upcoming Captain America the Winter Soldier. According to reports and assumptions this Marvel take on the continued Captains adventures in the modern world should play out much like a spy movie. I am not sure if that's a good thing or not but hey, I haven't seen the film yet. This is not the only still we were blessed with this holiday week we also got a new shot of the Winter Soldier holding the Captains shield.
Pretty badass if you ask me!

Disney's Frozen catching Iron Man 3?
Alright the title over sold it a little, but it is true that Frozen has broken the $500 mil mark coming ever closer to Iron Man 3's box office success. Disney has been tearing it up this year, and they'll be starting 2014 strong with their beautiful hit Frozen still in theaters. While it was edged out of the top spot by The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug this past weekend, the latest Disney princess tale has not only been a hit with critics, but also scored huge with audiences. Already, Frozen has earned a whopping $500 million worldwide after just six weeks in theaters. This grand total makes it the fourth Disney film to have hit this milestone this year. Its predecessors here are Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World and Monsters University. Why is this movie so successful though? In my opinion its because the word of  mouth has been outstanding for it, the critics loved it, the audience loves it, its a great film for everyone and the best animated movie since The Lion King and Finding Nemo.

Exodus
If you did not know this here you go, Ridley Scott is bringing us a new take on the classic tale of Moses starring Christian Bale(above on a horse). This is our first look at whats to come and as of right now I can't see Bale in this movie...he just doesn't seem to fit but until I see the movie all skepticism aside.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes Caesar pic...
Yes all, that is correct...the CGI Ape is portrayed by a man, Andy Serkis to be exact. You know Andy, the man that brought Gollum to life from the Lord of the Rings franchise and Ceasar in the first Rise of the Planet of the Apes film. This man is outstanding, he commits to his work and brings 200% every time and getting to see him while working in the above picture is pretty awesome. I can not wait for Dawn of the Apes and for this man to finally get the full recognition he deserves.

Fantasitc 4 Vs. X-Men???
There has been rumors flying around for what seems like forever now about a Fantstic 4/X-Men team up/Vs. movie coming...now the question is can this happen/will this happen? WIth Fox about to release X-Men: Days Of Future Past this summer and The Fantastic Four the next I suppose it could happen but that...I can't see with the current state of X-Men. We’ve known that Mark Millar and Simon Kinberg have been engaging with Fox braintrust about developing the Fantastic Four and X-Men cinematic universes. But some digging by Latino Review uncovers Millar’s earlier quotes about the possibility of a crossover(this was quiet awhile ago) where they claim that it’s a pipe dream. Of course, these quotes are from August, long before Sony made their ambitious SpiderMan plans, and Millar has been known to stretch the truth regarding movies derived from his material: he’s spouted on and on about high level talent attached to adaptations of Nemesis and Superior, which never materialized. And while he is a "creative consultant" for Fox, back in March, X-Men: Days Of Future Past director Bryan Singer claimed he had never spoken to him...So I am going to have to say this will not and could not happen.
That is all I have for now but keep checking back for news, reviews, and trailers. Also feel free to follow me and leave comments below about movies or TV shows you want reviewed! Catch ya later!

Transcendence, Age of Utron, Man of Steel 2, X-Men

X-Men Days of Future Past
Anna Paquin's Rogue was been cut from the final product of Days of Future Past...heres my question...are we suppose to care? I honestly do not, she was in my opinion been a weak character in this franchise since the beginning and from what I understand her role in this movie was so small and un-important we wont even notice she isn't there. According to Cinema Blend ; "The detail was uncovered when Singer explained how a rescue sequence that was shot in the beginning of production on the movie ended up needing to get cut. The scene features Magneto (Ian McKellen), Professor X (Patrick Stewart), Rogue (Anna Paquin), and Iceman (Shawn Ashmore), but Singer says that it ultimately affected the pacing of the film negatively"

Man of Steel 2
There has been rumor that along with the Batman suit being tweaked and updated to follow the comics more Superman maybe getting a few suit tweaks as well. I am not sure what they would need to do to it because I think it was perfect looking. Besides looks I suppose they could try and make it more function for him since in several interviews he has mentioned that it was very hard to put on and take off.  CineMovie.tv recently had the opportunity to sit down with costume designer Michael Wilkinson - who did all of the work on David O. Russell's American Hustle - and in the interview Wilkinson revealed that the Man of Steel's duds will be undergoing a bit of tweaking for the sequel.

Avengers:Age of Ultron
There has been rumor flying around that another addition to the film may be underway, Baron Von Strucker.  Latino Review has claimed in addition to Ultron, played by James Spader, there’s another villain onboard the superhero mashup. And after a bit of detective work, they’ve concluded that the part is Baron Von Strucker. Von Strucker, for those of you who do not know, is one of the leaders of HYDRA, the terrorist organization in Captain America: The First Avenger. Strucker was a Nazi who helped form HYDRA in the comics, and it could very well be established that he was behind the Red Skull’s actions in the first Captain America film as well. Though ageless thanks to an age-resistant serum, the Baron is basically a mixture of brain and brawn, and in a movie universe, his approach seems decidedly different than the lethal Ultron.

Transcendence
After only a few days with our teaser trailer we just got a full length trailer as well(above), and even though the teaser gave me everything I wanted from a teaser it left me wanting a little more so I was happy to get this and I have to say its got me even more excited for the movie. In the movie Depp stars as Dr. Will Caster, a researcher who has gained fame and infamy due to his radical work in the subject of Artificial Intelligence and what's commonly referred to as The Singularity: the moment when a computer attains consciousness. His work is so controversial that it makes him the target of an assassination attempt. With Will quickly dying from a gunshot wound, his wife Evelyn (Rebecca Hall) and friend Max (Paul Bettany) have no choice but to experiment with Will's work and try to upload his consciousness into a computer. This plan horrifically backfires, however, when the Will in the computer begins to become a much different person than he was in the real world.

300 Rise of an Empire
Behold the new 300 poster...and all its boring-ness. Yes, although I am excited for this movie, the poster really doesn't do anything for me, its pretty boring and does nothing but show me a character I already hate from the first movie and only hope he dies in this one. What about you all?

Pan, Man of Steel 2, Ant-Man, How to train your Dragon 2!

Transcendence
"It follows Depp’s character, an artificial intelligence researcher, who may have figured out a way to upload the scope of all human intelligence and real emotions inside a sentient being. Thanks to some protests with unintended consequences, accomplishing his goal becomes very attainable, but those around him aren’t quite so sure that’s actually a good idea." So this movie has been so shrouded in mystery and rumor that until recently we were not given anything concrete. We now have a teaser trailer and plot details above. Honestly it peaked my interest I am not overly excited for it but I am interested in where this could go.

Hugh Jackman in Pan?
There has been talk of Wolverine star Hugh Jackman being approached and considered for the role of Black Beard in the upcoming Warner Bros. adaptation of Pan. I think this could be great, Jackman has talked about wanting to get into a villainous role for awhile and Jackman as a pirate? I am sold on it, there has been no confirmation of his agreement that I know of but I think it would be great.

How to train your Dragon 2
We got our first actual trailer for the upcoming sequel to the popular and successful How to train your Dragon movie and I have to say...I love it, getting to see Toothless again, Hiccup, and the CGI looks great.  I am excited to see this movie I hope its just as great as the first if not better.

Go Like Hell?
According to the guardian, "Cruise is due to play American car designer Carroll Shelby in a film to be directed by Joseph Kosinski, who recently worked with Cruise on the sci-fi thriller Oblivion. It is not known who Pitt will play, but he was attached to star in the project in an earlier incarnation, according to the Hollywood Reporter, when director Michael Mann was on board." Go Like Hell covers the contest for motor-racing supremacy between the American manufacturer Ford and the Italian Ferrari team, climaxing at the 1966 Le Mans 24-Hour endurance race, at which an American car made by Ford won for the first time ever. I would like to see these two starring in a movie together again..I don't know about this movie though... after just getting Rush and now another period racing piece?

Playboy Bio-Pic?
That's right all there is talks of a Hugh Hefner bio-pic coming to us and although he widely known for his role in the male fantasy Playboy...Hefner has been a front runner in civil rights for decades and I think with the director of Wedding Crashers attached this could turn out pretty good. If they take this bio in that kind of a direction I could really enjoy to see where this man came from. Agree? Disagree?

Ant-Man
It has been confirmed that Paul Rudd will be our Ant-Man for the start of Marvels phase 3 cinematic universe and I love this casting. I do not know much about Ant-man as a comic character but I do know Rudd. And I love almost everything I have seen him in and think he could do a great job with this.

Batman vs Superman
There has been talk of 3 time Oscar nominee Jouquin Phoenix taking up the facade of Lex Luthor in the upcoming Man of Steel 2/Batman vs Superman movie set to hit theaters July 2015. I like this casting, I loved him as the villain in Gladiator I think he did an amazing job and I have no doubt he could pull off a creepy genius Lex Luthor. So I am all in on this.

Man of Steel 2 Re-Write?
Argo writer Chris Terrio has just been assigned to do some touch ups on David Goyer's Man of Steel 2 script. Which with Affleck being attached to this I am not surprised that he brought along his Oscar winning writer along and this just gives me even more hope for this movie and I can't wait for the release in 2015.

The Other Woman
Director Nick Cassavetes is about to bring us what I think will be a great romance comedy staring Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Nikki Minaj. "Diaz stars as a woman who is perfectly happy with the love life she and her boyfriend share... at least until she pays him a surprise visit and meets his unassuming wife, played by Mann. Rather than get into a Dynasty-like cat fight, the women put their heads together for some alcohol-fueled revenge planning. But then they find out that he actually has another mistress, this one played with single digit brain cells by Kate Upton. I’m pretty sure they then find out he’s cheating with other women aswell." This will by no means be overly witty with smart dialog but I think it should be amusing and enjoyable to watch.
